“Ugh, this is so… wet!” Kiki groaned, splashing through the puddles. “I can’t even hop properly.”
Feeling miserable, Kiki sat down on a large rock and sighed. She missed the warm sun and the dry earth beneath her paws. “I never realized how much I liked the sunshine until it’s gone,” she said, feeling sorry for herself. She looked around at all the other animals in the outback, who seemed to be handling the rain much better than her.
A curious wombat waddled by, seemingly unfazed by the rain, his thick fur keeping him warm. “Hello, Kiki!” the wombat called. “You look a little soggy there. Are you okay?”
Kiki sighed again. “I just don’t know what to do with this rain. It’s so… wet! I’m usually hopping around, but now I’m stuck.”
