“Whee! This is actually kind of fun!” she exclaimed as she splashed around with the wombat. Soon, they were joined by a few more animals: a playful emu, a curious echidna, and even a kookaburra who sat in the tree laughing at their antics. Together, they made the best of the rainy day, hopping, splashing, and laughing as the rain poured down around them.
Kiki soon realized that the rain wasn’t as bad as she had imagined. Instead of feeling sorry for herself, she found joy in the little moments. The mud made everything more exciting, and the rain cooled the air, making it perfect for jumping and playing.
As the day went on, the rain finally started to lighten up. The clouds began to part, and a soft glow of sunlight peeked through the sky. Kiki, now covered in mud but feeling happier than ever, took a deep breath and looked around at her friends.
