Alex paused. Dinner. That was a clever move. But Alex wasn’t ready to give in. He crossed his arms. “Fine. But only if you agree to let me watch my game afterward. No more complaining!”
Lily gave him a sly look, as if she had anticipated this very moment. “Deal,” she said with a grin. “But I get the next hour. You can watch your game, but if my fairies need help, you have to promise to support me!”
Alex couldn’t believe what he was hearing. But he realized he had no choice. The remote was hers. “Alright, fine,” he grumbled, handing over the coveted control.
Lily immediately grabbed the remote, pressing the buttons with the excitement of a champion. “Yes!” she shouted, gleefully navigating through her show. “Fairies, here I come!”
For the next hour, Alex sat there, fuming as Lily’s animated characters danced across the screen. He tried to distract himself by scrolling through his phone, but he couldn’t shake the feeling that Lily had outsmarted him.
